Stacy Cash is an educator, lawyer, and yoga instructor. As a practicing lawyer, she found herself unfulfilled. She tapped into her original dream to work with youth. Shortly thereafter she became a teacher at a local charter school where she convinced her school they should offer yoga to students as an alternative to PE. In her second year as an educator she created a yoga program for students. Even skeptical students embraced yoga, and these students’ love for yoga has since been featured on local news. She has led a student weekend yoga retreat for three consecutive years, where a number of students completed their own teacher training program to become certified yoga instructors. The program expanded to include middle school yogis.
Stacy received her yoga certification in 2013. Stacy didn’t plan on yoga being part of her life, becoming a yoga teacher, or becoming a teacher at all, but has found that yoga enriched her life and the lives of those around her greatly. She teaches yoga in a way that is fun and infectious while infusing yoga with a digestible form of spirituality that has both spoken to her students and changed her life. You can often feel a sense of play and spontaneity along with the spirituality. Don’t be surprised if you’re challenged to come out of your comfort zone and share a highlight of your day with a stranger or high five another yogi in a pose.
