Continuum Movement offers an elegant art of movement exploration. Using breath and sound as a portal to our own deep interior landscapes, we allow our primal, instinctual bio-intelligence to provide the choreography.  Awaken your sense of play, join us as we dive into the fluid realm and emerge revitalized.

 

Continuum is for all ages and body types. 

This class is ideal for people new to Continuum but can also be enjoyed by those with experience.

What is a healthy body?

This is a multifaceted question that Continuum Movement explores.

Our bodies are in a fluid, dynamic, ever-changing process ~ able to respond to a variety of circumstances and to constantly renew our resources.

When we engage in movement exploration that reflects the natural world, we access a reservoir of strength, intelligence and health. Through the use of breath and sound we allow our primal, instinctual bio-intelligence to provide the choreography. During our time together, we awaken the deep connection to our ancient fluid origins and reinvigorate our naturally healthy state.

 

What happens in a "Continuum Movement" session?

First, we use breath to develop dexterity and an ability to release habitual patterns allowing more presence and direct response. Through the use of sound, we penetrate various body layers, decrease tissue density and increase our resonant energy field.

We play with counterpoints of fast and slow, change relationships to gravity and challenge our perceived limitations. As our movement unfolds, we find ourselves immersed in the spiraling, undulating, wave forms of the natural world. Periods of ‘open attention' allow abundant opportunity to fully integrate the information gathered and to experience our moving bodies with pleasure and a variety of sensation.
